Implementation and Development of Bot Detection and Rejection

Hello, this is Haruta Watanabe.

First, I apologize for the suspension of my posts. I plan to resume them around the third week of September, so I would appreciate it if you could continue to follow along.

While I usually develop mobile apps and websites, I have now completed the 48th week of my studies with a view towards a career as a software engineer and data scientist. This week, development work at my part-time job was busy, and I was also doing maintenance development for a service provided to my student club, making it a difficult week to secure time for studying.

Leveraging what I gained from my internships, I was able to complete the modification of a business system during my development work at my part-time job.

Additionally, in the maintenance development of the service provided to the club, I was able to successfully reflect user requests.

Week 48 Reflection

This week, continuing from last week, I proceeded with my studies along the following two axes:

  • Bot Detection and Rejection To measure the accuracy of what I implemented, I actually ran the code. Through this, I was able to confirm the accuracy of the bot detection and identify areas for improvement.
  • Engineering (Design) In the maintenance development of the service provided to my club, I reviewed the design to reflect user requests. As a result, I was able to build a more efficient and scalable system.

Week 49 Goals

In week 49, I will continue to focus on solidifying the foundational knowledge that is crucial for my research.

  • Improvement of the Implementation To improve the bot detection and rejection code I implemented the week before last, I will review the algorithm to enhance its accuracy. This will enable more highly accurate bot detection.
  • Phase 1 Launch We will launch the first phase of the research and carry out measurements in a production environment.

Going Forward

I will continue to post a summary of my previous week’s reflection and my goals for the current week every Monday.

Thank you for your continued support.
