Global Perspective and Balancing Certification with Development

Hello, this is Haruta Watanabe.

First, I apologize for the delay in this post.

While I usually develop mobile apps and websites, I have now completed the 22nd week of my studies with a view towards a career as a software engineer and data scientist. This week was a fulfilling one, where new learning aimed at my future vision intersected with practical development work.

Week 22 Reflection

This week, I proceeded with my activities mainly along the following three axes:

  • Studying English with an eye towards global success To realize my dream of working globally as an engineer in the future, I started putting serious effort into studying English this week.
  • Studying for the Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination To systematically solidify and objectively prove my foundational IT knowledge, I have started studying for the Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination, aiming to pass it during this spring break.
  • Practical Engineering Activities In addition to learning (input), I also carried out practical development work in parallel, such as developing new applications from scratch and modifying existing ones, thereby polishing my implementation skills.

Week 23 Goals

In week 23, I will continue my multifaceted input and focus on the following three points:

  1. Continue studying English
  2. Advance algorithm studies
  3. Thoroughly prepare for the Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination

Going Forward

I will continue to post a summary of my previous week’s reflection and my goals for the current week every Monday.

Thank you for your continued support.
