Returning to the Basics in an Internship and a New Challenge in DL Fundamentals
Hello, this is Haruta Watanabe.
First, I apologize for the delay in this post.
While I usually develop mobile apps and websites, I have now completed the 27th week of my studies with a view towards a career as a software engineer and data scientist. This week was a fulfilling one, combining realizations from a practical workshop with the start of a new, advanced learning journey.
Week 27 Reflection
This week, while continuing my daily algorithm and English studies, there were two major topics:
- Taking on a 1-Day Internship (Engineering Workshop) I participated in an internship that simulated practical work. Through the workshop, I relearned the fundamental yet most important part of software development: the “naming” of variables and functions. It was a valuable opportunity to gain a professional perspective conscious of team development and maintainability.
- Starting the Matsuo-Iwasawa Lab’s “Deep Learning Fundamentals” Course Following GCI, which I successfully completed recently, I have newly started taking the “Deep Learning Fundamentals” course from the same laboratory. I am stepping into a more advanced and specialized area, but I will stick with it until the very end and definitely aim to complete it.
Week 28 Goals
In week 28, I will proceed with raising my foundational skills and solidifying new input in parallel.
- Continued Study of Algorithms and Data Structures
- Strengthening English Learning (Listening & Speaking)
- Earnestly Tackling and Catching Up on the New “DL Fundamentals” Course
Going Forward
I will continue to post a summary of my previous week’s reflection and my goals for the current week every Monday.
Thank you for your continued support.
