Struggles in a New Environment and the Start of Job Hunting
Hello, this is Haruta Watanabe.
First, I apologize for the delay in this post.
While I usually develop mobile apps and websites, I have now completed the 26th week of my studies with a view towards a career as a software engineer and data scientist. This week was one of pushing forward without stopping, even as new waves of academic work and job hunting came crashing in.
Week 26 Reflection
While continuing my daily algorithm studies and English studies, there were two major developments this week:
- Adapting to University Classes As new classes for the semester began in earnest, I ensured I secured enough time to keep up with my academic work and strove to balance both. I am practicing flexible time management in response to the change in environment.
- Start of Job Hunting I have finally begun to focus seriously on job hunting toward my future goals. I am taking concrete actions to leverage my learning outcomes and development experience and connect them to the next step in my career.
Week 27 Goals
In week 27, even in a busy environment, I will stay calm and continue to hone the “technology” and “language” skills that form the foundation of my career.
- Continued Study of Algorithms and Data Structures I will continue to deeply learn algorithms and data structures, which are crucial for upcoming selections and coding tests, to enhance my practical implementation skills.
- Strengthening English Learning (Listening & Speaking) With an eye towards future global success and professional communication, I will continue to focus on listening and speaking training.
Going Forward
I will continue to post a summary of my previous week’s reflection and my goals for the current week every Monday.
Thank you for your continued support.
